Making decisions is a complex step and you have probably experienced it yourself on your own path through life. You will have to make an exciting journey into the new professional role, but to make the journey as comfortable as possible, it is important to understand what the journey means.
You are also about to do something that is completely new to you – try a completely new task in your profession as a builder. Just that in itself can be a bit stressful so therefore this chapter will be more about stress and how you can limit it in your new professional role as a machine or crane operator
There is a constant effort to improve the work environment for everyone in the workplace. Today, the working environment is much better than it was before. But one factor that often affects today’s workplaces is stress and pressure. You as a crane driver are unique in your future position at the construction site. You are often alone in your professional role with the crane, but everyone needs your help several times during the construction process. If there are a lot of lifting assignments during certain periods of a construction process, you will be able to feel it as increased pressure. Now the temporary pressure itself is not dangerous, but if it lasts for a long time and you do not have a reasonable opportunity to influence your situation then it can start to be a health issue.
